All schools in Highland Perthshire are undertaking some sort of cycle activities and promotion in their schools with the Royal School of Dunkeld and Pitlochry Primary School now Cycle Friendly Schools.

This is the 3rd year of this programme funded by the Climate Challenge Fund, Sustrans and Cycling Scotland. We are delighted that we have funding for the April 2012 – March 2013 year now as well. This covers training, roadshows and events in school as well as After School Clubs.

We have also been working with a consultant to frame all our work in the Curriculum for Excellence and in each school’s development plan.   She is also identified resources for schools to use.
